Greetings from the tree tops.
No deer action yet today so I decided to post a question.

2 years ago I put a post on here asking what the best bang for the buck was in trail cams. From the posts I got I went with the Moultrie A5 unit. I got 5 of them.

I couldn't be happier. All 5 have been great. No complaints at all. Batteries lasted over 1.5 years- and that with me leaving them out year round on my farm.

I want to get 4 more cameras.
I see you can still get the a5. Also I see there is a gen2 A5 that's the same price.

Question:
Should I just stick with the A5 model or is the gen2 A5 better and just as reliable?

Or has something came on the market in the same $60-$70 price range that are better still yet?

Thanks so much.
TM

I bought 5 Primos easy cams at 25.00 each. As long as I point them North and South (they do take whiteout pictures) they are worth every penny.

You have to point them north or south? Why? Was that a joke?
Thanks.
east and west pictures may not turn out well when the sun is setting and rising. That's the whiteout effect he mentioned

Stay away from 2016 browning dark ops. I'm 0-2 now for bad cameras from Browning, back and forth while waiting on slow emails to diagnose problems of brand new cameras.

I like my Coverts...I have 6 or 7 and they all have been great cams and taken THOUSANDS of pictures!
