Best LBL areas for Turkey

I have an old trick that works well for me at LBL. Go to your area that you intend to hunt real early and sit for an hour or more. Get out to put your gear on , at that point at least two trucks will pull in and tell you where they are going to be. Get back in truck , drive out to the first spot you see no one within a mile. Get out and proceed to hunt! This has worked for me several times at LBL! Lol

If you don't have any points or don't have someone with points to apply with, you probably won't be drawing this year. That's my experience anyway.

What he said ^^^^.

Since LBL went to no bonus bird, applications have fallen off dramatically so you may get a hunt without any points. I always put in and seem
to get a hunt with one point. The maximum points you can have for the turkey hunts is 2. I have 1 point this year.

The best area for turkey is Area 10 in KY. :tu:

You do not have to pick an area for turkey hunting QUOTA. Hunt where you like.

I get that. Just curious about camping in proximity to where birds are.

From our experience last yr there aren't any birds there.
Only 6 checked in total on both quota hunts. Weather was bad for both hunts tho.

They still have birds there. Just not like it was 15 years ago.

I busted a group late November while deer hunting that must have been 30 strong. Scared the mess out of me. And this was probably 150 yards off the main road.

Couple years ago around Bards lake I had 5 gobbling soon as I shut the truck door.

I plan to hit behind the Bison range this year. It's an hour and a half hike to last years deer hunting spot but good turkey ground - I think [emoji106]
