looking for something new, leupold turkey plex? red dot? holo sight? ive never used anything other than fiber optic sights so I need a little advice

Burris FastFire 3 on a marlin 336 base. I would say your first task is to decide if you want a scope style or a halo style. both have pros and cons but gotta decide that first.

I agree with them. If you have a problem keeping your cheek down than a scope works great for that. Down side is it can be hard to stay on a moving turkey which I don't recommend shooting anyway.

Don't know if you mean just with shotguns, or period, but if you've not been using traditional scopes on your rifles, don't do it with your turkey gun.

I can't imagine anyone not preferring a Burris Fastfire over fiber optic sights ---- far superior imo.

If you're an experienced scope user with rifles, you might prefer a low-power traditional shotgun scope over the Burris Fastfire. I think the mistake some make (the ones who don't like traditional shotgun scopes) is in using too much magnification, and sometimes not choosing a scope with adequate eye relief.

Still depends on your priorities.
I use both on different guns. If you want less weight, smallest size, the Burris Fastfire trumps everything. If you want a better sight picture, and some magnification, traditional shotgun scope is better.

if you want to stay under $150 then the i totally suggest the Mueller Quick Shot. I had it for a while and it was great, my buddy shoots with one on an 835 shooting 3.5 magnums with no problems.

with that site though you will want a comb riser to help line your eyes up with the site and not get cheek slapped.
