I like Nikon products and wanted to know which rangefinder is good for both archery and gun. I'm concerned the Archers Choice may not work good for sighting deer out at 200 yards.

I have the nikon riflemaster with arc. It's great for bowhunting.

i use a nikon 550 for archery and most gun hunting. the archers choice does the trig for the horizontal distance. you can do it with a regular range finder, when you are in your stand, range trees straight out from you. use those trees as landmarks. or just set your pins from an elevated stand, use the range to target to set your pins.

I like the one in my brain . :D Learn to judge yardage without a rangefinder . I practice judging yardage and pacing off distances as much as I do flinging arrows . It pays off when a deer steps out and you don't have time to use a rangefinder . I can usually judge distance within a couple of yards out to 50 yards .

I have the bushnell scout 1000 w/o arc. IMO, the arc is unnecessary. Too often poor form or buck fever is what causes misses.
