though this was a topic on here already but couldnt find it. Im gonna upgrade my sights this year and looking at some of the below. Any major pros and cons on them or opinions??

Used Spot Hogg Real Deal
Black and Gold Flashpoint HD
Copper John Mark iii with dove tail
Used G5 XR

those are just a few I am looking at...Ive had a MBG before and liked it for the most part but didnt like the size of the actual pins (not the optics i mean the actual pins) but it seems that has been updated.

I havent tried any of the rest....I also I not really up to speed on all this 2nd and 3rd axis stuff so that may make a difference. SOme of the sights with all that as a feature almost makes me nervous to get just because it seems to really add more complication to it lol

anyway what say you.

Of the ones you mentioned, I have had a Copper John Mark III without a dovetail and a Black Gold Flashpoint but not I am pretty sure it wasn't the HD. On the Copper John, the pins are metal but the housing is plastic. I didn't like that. On the Flashpoint I had, it had plastic pins. I didn't like that either. I am almost certain they make metal pins for the one I had though because I thought about getting some before I sold the sight. Now I currently have a Sword Twilight Hunter. I really like it. It's all metal and has plenty of adjustment and seems to be built strong.

I had an Extreme and liked it ok but the tooless kept coming loose. I'm not against them just wanna try something different

My issue with the sword is I don't like the look. Silly I know but I just don't.

I'm a big fan of MBG sights for hunting applications. Their Rush sight is right below your price point and full lifetime warranty. It's my favorite sight of theirs.

However....my brother inlaw recently bought a new bow and got a CBE Sniper Pro sight for it. I helped him set it up and was very impressed with the build quality of it. I don't think I've seen any finer build quality in any sight....and it only weighs like 4 oz. I was so impressed I recently sold my Axcel Pro to buy a CBE Tek Hybrid.

I just bought a Sword Apex 3rd plane, 5 pins, .019 diameter pins. It came with a light but I may not use it. I haven't shot the bow with it installed yet but I really like the setup and the way it looks on the bow. This is my first 3rd axis sight. So, we will see how that goes.
Thank Ms. Boo for steering me to this sight. I was torn between this one and the Extreme with the same features. I think she helped me make a good choice.
