Big 8 video

That's a big deer! I keep my cameras on video too. Got some really good footage.

Love video mode. I run mine 30 seconds. It's neat to see them crunching leaves coming in and working a scrape and rearing up to rub the limbs. You can even hear them crunching on acorns. It also helps (over just a picture) to judge their antlers because they generally give you several angles.

Your exactly right Mike. It's amazing the sounds you hear. I have heard bucks grunting and chasing in the background and never see them in front of the camera. It does give you a better perspective of how big the buck really is compared to trail cam mode.

Something else I like is when there's a buck standing in front of the camera and he's staring in a certain direction and all of a sudden he turns it and hightails it out of there and you can hear grunting and leaves crunching in the background from a nearby buck approaching. Too often though he never shows.

I run mine in video mode too as soon as I find a scrape. I love pulling my cards and going through the videos. My 4 year old son loves watching them with me. No telling what you find on them. Raccoons, skunks, fox, coyotes, does, bucks, and trespassers.

Do you guys check your pictures in the field? The screen on my camera is so small and with sub par eyesight it's sometimes hard to tell exactly what I have. I tried car readers but they don't last. I'm now using the Bone View I posted about and it's great. If you use Iphones you really ought to check one out. $29.99 from Walmart. View, store, delete, send pics off a free app download.

I check mine in the field also. I bought a stealth cam card reader that plugs into my iPhone. It allows you to save photos straight to your camera role. I was very pleased with how easy it was to upload the videos to my phone. I could not stand trying to use iTunes to upload videos to my phone. It was definitely worth the 30.00.
