Big blue cat!

Micka Burkhart caught a monster blue cat yesterday at 12:30 p.m. on the Cumberland River in Stewart County on skipjack and a 30-pound test line! The 118-pound 7-ounce blue cat will be a new Tennessee record pending verification and certification.

Official measurements:

118 pounds 7 ounces

54 inches long

41-inch girth

For all you wondering out there, Micka successfully released this pending record back into the Cumberland River.

to be honest i figured itd come from barkley or possibly north ky lake. where he caught that is probably considered barkley. there have been some 80 and 90 pound blues caught before paris landing.

I would have thought Chattanooga also there's some monsters in the tailwaters of Chicksmauga dam. Here's a couple my son and I have caught down there.
