Big Flathead

Caught this last night on a big worm bass fishing. 23.5 lbs and by far the biggest I've ever caught on a rod and reel. It was a heck of a fight even on 17 lb test line with a baitcaster. It went anywhere it wanted for a while.



Been catching several on noodles as well. It's been a good year.

Not very long. I set the hook and knew instantly it was a big fish. I got wound down on it and thought I had a big largemouth in a brush pile. Then it started swimming off and knew then it wasn't a bass. He wasn't super mean but wanted to be on the bottom. I would get a few cranks started up, and then it would just use its weight to get back to the bottom. I knew then that it was big flathead and told the guy that was with me that I was pretty sure that it was a 15 - 20 lb flathead.
