Age and score on this hoss?

I'll take a stab for fun. Minimum of 4.5 and 135ish on score. Have any other pics at all? specifically showing spread?

Another note.... if the date is correct on that picture, i'm sure he has put on more length since then. I was tickled with a pic i got this morning showing how much he had grown over the last 30ish days.

I see you are from florida, is this a tennessee deer?

Unfortunately no other pics, and yes the deer is from our farm in Perry County TN.

6.5+ or has a 'hormone' problem.. you don't see that many deer with that kind of weight in the summer.

Short brows hurt... mid 130s. But jeez, that would be my target buck this year. But I doubt he participates much in the rut... gonna take some luck to kill him.

Probably 5.5 and 130" gross. Agree with cbhunter based on date he might have added 5" by now, but kinda looks fully developed already. Stud of an 8pt!

I also think this buck appears 5 1/2 or older.
But based on this single pic, am a little more reserved in guessing an antler score.
Do think he'll break 130 gross.

Most of us have a tendency to over-estimate antler scores on bucks in velvet,
and a single pic can greatly mislead.

Despite the mature features, how do we know whether this is a small bodied or a large bodied buck?

If he's smaller bodied than most (about half are), that makes his antlers appear larger.
If he's larger bodied than most (about half are), that makes his antlers appear smaller.

I've been fooled many times, being off 10 to 20" on mainframe 8s & 10s, just be their being particularly small or large bodied.
