A buddy of mine say he read a fish advisory for Kentucky Lake and Big Sandy River, from Big Sandy River up to Paris Landing. He said it was for bass only. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Yep, been all over the local news here. Mercury contamination. For the Big Sandy basin up to Paris landing almost. I don't understand how it could only be bass. It would seem that crappie would be in it also and that would really be bad for the area. Probably not that many bass eaten any more, but if it affects the crappie it would hit Henry and the other river counties hard.
They are having a public meeting this week I think to have the Conservation people to explain it better. I read where they said the mercury source was from settling from air pollution basically.
Not good.

Sheesh...that's depressing to hear. I agree - it seems like if the advisory is for bass, it would also affect crappie and other fish-eating species (like stripers/white bass/sauger).
