Big winter flock 200+ birds video

I bumped these while deer hunting on New Year's Day. Stopped counting at 90, and I saw more than twice as many as I counted. I think there were 200+ birds and not the first time I've seen that many in this field in the winter. Spring can't come soon enough...

Nice! I rode by some places Saturday I can hunt and at one place I counted 197 in one flock with 24 long beards in the bunch and at another place in a different county I counted 138 with 12 longbeards in the group. Needless to say I'm ready for spring!

Back in the good ole days of the 90's, winter flocks of 300 birds were fairly regular when all the subflocks grouped up. Now 100 in a winter flock is something to get excited about, and only seen once every 4 or 5 years.
