Been a strange season. birds have not been where they have historically been in this block. heard this bird on roost and he gobbled as he moved away to another farm that borders the farm i was hunting. he was moving fast so i left alone and came at 9 to go running.as i was running down the roads that encase this block i saw him with a lone hen. run back and get me gun and vest and set up. kill him at 35 yards, he never gobbled just walked in strutting. since he was in the woods, i never saw him to his fan opened. killed him in black shorts and a tshirt. 9.75 inch beard, 3/4 spurs and 21 pounds.
