I ended up working from home today and about 12:30 the sun broke through so I thought hmmmmm, wonder what the birds are doing so I decided to get my stuff and run down the road. Got out and started walking about 1:00 and had gone 100 yards when all of a sudden a bird starts gobbling his head off. I eased up behind a pond to see him out in the pipeline and ranged him at 60 yards. After ranging landmarks depending on which way he went I started some calling. A few purrs and clucks were followed by gobbles but he wouldn't move. I threw a few more things in before cutting at him but still he wouldn't move. This whole time I'm behind a huge tree and peeking over the burm on the pond to see what he's doing. After 15 or 20 minutes he finally decides to walk to my left so he can find that hen down in the woods that won't come see him. When he cleared one of the landmarks I had ranged I yelped with the mouth call and he stopped with his head inside the circle and boom down he went. The 3 1/2" longbeard 5's did their job. One of the quicker hunts I've had as it was over about 1:30. Sorta makes up a little for all those times they've kicked my butt.

20 lbs 4 oz
6 1/2" beard (he had beard rot)
3/4" spurs

Congrats! I don't see how you get any work done with that kind of accessibility to the turkey woods!
I dont normally work from home that often but if I did it would be hard this time of year. Up until this year my wife and I split taking the kids to school so 2-3 days a week I'd go over there and hunt 2 hours and head to the office. Due to her schedule changing I take them every day so that's killed me hunting during the week for the most part.
