I headed out to work on a farm I've been helping a buddy out with in Mcewen,TN yesterday, and got a pleasant surprise. We pulled up to the cabin at about 8:30,and saw this flock of birds feeding in the field beside his cabin. We managed to sneak in to about 90 yds from them, and snapped a few photos. I had a box call with me,and every time I hit it,these tom's would go crazy! if it weren't for the creek in between us,i'm pretty sure they would have come right on in. Definetley got me ready for opening weekend!

There was a 3rd Tom I could'nt get a good shot of because he was off breeding a hen. There 3 hen's with the bunch in all,but 2 of them acted as if they had already been bred and were getting ready to nest. I think all of this heat has gotten the entire breeding cycle started WAY early. Good for us late season hunter's. :D

cool pics!
i was seeing them at my farm everyday until this week. don't know where they are at now. hopefully they are still hanging out close by and i just haven't been around at the right time to see them.
