Biscuit vs. drop-away

I shot the biscuit untill this year. I got tired of that stupid psssst when I would draw the arrow back. Other than that I loved the biscuit!
I tried the Apache drop away. Awesome rest! Very easy to set up and my groups shrunk a little.
I tried the Trophy Ridge Revolution drop away on another bow and I like it alittle better than the apache.
Both are great rest when you are on a budget though!

ok I know this isn't either of the 2 rests listed, but I'm a fan of the hostage rest. For those that don't know, its a biscuit , but instead of bristles all the way around, it only has 3 sets of bristles, with clearances for vanes. This is my second year hunting with one and I love it. Yeah you might lose a couple of fps but you're hunting not shooting through a chrono.

I will tell you my perspective on this. I changed a few years back from the biscuit to the Ripcord and it was the smartest thing I've done in archery yet. I changed because I could get my groups tight, but not as tight as I thought I could. Any dropaway will have an advantage over the biscuit in this department because the arrow stays in contact with the bow longer when using the biscuit, and if your prone to torque issues then the you will notice even better results by switching--my groups dramatically tightened up after the switch. Number two, ever been hunting in the winter and had to constantly battle ice crystals forming in the biscuit? There is no noise when drawing back, or when the arrow goes forward. Finally, I did not want to lose the full-containment aspects of the biscuit. Solved with the Ripcord, it is just as full-containment as the bisuit and I believe the Qad is as well.

I have been a huge fan of the biscuit for at least 6 years or so. This year I had a friend convince me to switch to the QAD rest. Holy smokes, that is one incredible rest. No noise on drawing. No contact with arrow after release and my shooting is the best it has ever been in my 33 years of bow shooting. I strongly recommend a good drop away rest. Good luck.

Shot wb for years and switched to qad hd rest and like it alot better, groups are alot tighter.

Go buy a drop away rest somewhere that let you return if you dont like it. shoot it for awhile and see how much you like it. I bet you want take it back.

I have them both plus a NAP 360. The biscuit is simple to tune and if you put some scorpion venom cam lube on your arrows, you wont hear the psss like mentioned above when you draw it back. Look into the NAP. I put one on my X Force and I like it so far. Also have the QAD on my Destroyer.

I shot the Hostage for 1 season before going to a biscuit and I liked it! Easy to tune!

I got a camo Trophy Ridge, that I'm about to put on eBay, sitting on my desk.

I replaced it with a new QAD Ultra-Rest HDX. Man i love being able to chocolate chip cookie my rest and have my arrow contained. Plus, it's super quiet and so easy to adjust.

Anyway.. I'd go for a drop away, regardless of the brand. They are all pretty amazing.

Toss the biscuit. You don't need the "queef" sound, when you're launching your death sticks!

Funny that the archery shop the other day said some people were going to the trophy ridge from the QAD because of some internal issues.
