Well, myself and plinker 22 made a trip over to Right on Target archery shop in Waynesville, NC today. We were very impressed with their knowledge and hands on approach with their customers. I shot a Bowtech Captain, Hoyt Alpha-Max, Mathews Reezen, Diamond Iceman and Ross Carnivore 34. All in 60 pound draw weight. I went there not set on any brand of bow. Just wanted one that was smooth, quiet and felt good. Anyone want to take a stab on what I brought home? You might be surprised...I was!

I liked the Iceman and the Alphamax best out of those, and the price on the Iceman is a lot better.

I was also realy impressed with the Rytera Alien-X made by Martin.

Well, m_allison71 got it right first guess. The Ross was the smoothest bow I've shot in a long time. When we were shooting at the indoor range, my buddy said he could hardly tell it was being shot sound wise until the arrow hit the target. It's that quiet. I would have to say the Iceman was my next pic but cost over a $100 more for the bow alone. I'll post some pics when I get a chance today.

It's rated at 312 to 318 there Camoman, but I'm just shooting 60 pounds so I'm probably not near that. Speed isn't a big deal with me. I prefer a quiet and smooth bow over the burners anyway. I shot it a lot tonight. 4 inch groups at 40 yards. That's good for me anyway. I'm tickled.

M_Allison,

For the winning guess, you can take me turkey hunting sometime if I can figure out where Castalian Springs is located. How'd that be?? Ha!
