My boy has been a police officer here locally since September of 2020 (I served 31+ years at our local Sheriff's Office Before retiring in June of 2020). I have bought him numerous guns and fishing equipment to use through the years and he has made good use of em. I figured it was an "investment" to hook him into hunting and fishing, and he bit pretty hard. It kept him out of trouble through the terrible teens and he spent what money he had on other outdoor stuff instead of things that would have gotten him into trouble. He is now established in his work and has already received a life saving medal and is receiving a traffic safety award later this month. He brought over a couple of big orange and white boxes with "Franchi" written on them a few weeks ago. When I asked what they were, he had bought me one of the Affinity 20 gauge turkey guns with the steady grip in Mossy Oak Bottomlands. I was awed, happy and proud all at the same time. He said it was my Fathers Day gift early. I ordered us two Indian Creek chokes (I already had plenty of 20 gauge TSS), and a couple of bases. We installed Burris Fastfire 3s on them and got them zeroed. We have both taken turkeys with them. What a great spring - even tho the turkeys haven't acted like it was! The first pic is his turkey, the second, is mine, and the third is his first gobbler 15 years ago….time flies.
