Got in the woods this morning and didnt hear a peep.Around 9:00 am I managed to call in a couple of hens and one of them had a 7 inch beard,after they left I sat listening and calling very little.It was 11:45 am and hadnt heard a single gobble but decided to stay until 12:00pm.I thought I would read a couple of chapters in the Bible while I was waitin,got through 1 chapter and heard a gobble on the ridge above me,Laid down my phone a made a soft yelp on my glass call and saw them coming thru the woods to me,I let the lead gobbler get about 35 yards and pulled the trigger.Hadnt heard a gobble all morning and when I started reading the Bible,he gobbled.Thank you Lord!!

That's awesome you were truly blessed. I find it really hard to stay in an area that is silent at daybreak unless the mushrooms are up then I will stay for a few hours calling every 30 minutes or so while I mushroom hunt.
 
Very nice. And kudos for staying out there. I would have been somewhere else :D !

BTW, you said them. How many, and were they all gobblers?

There were two gobblers,I shot the big bird the other was a jake!!
