blob archery target

Thank you Phil. The blob is by far the best archery target there is. The average archer will not wear one out inside of 10 years.

I'm giving a target called the Rag Bag a try. Up front it costs around $30 total after shipping, and is about the size of a Morrell Range Bag....so it's quite large. But here's the thing that attracted me to it...the owner has been selling them since 1995 and has a deal that if you shoot through all the dots on the target, just send him your shot up bag, and he'll send you another one free. Since 1995 he says he has had one bag returned to him for their new bag.

It comes as an empty bag...you fill it with old rags or clothes (you can go down to the local better living centers and fill a whole garbage bag as full as you can get it with clothes, for $5 a bag). And then shoot. It has different design spots on the front and back of it...and like he says...when you shoot through all the spots....just send it back and he will send you another for free. THAT sounds great to me.

I have two set up in my backyard and have been using his targets for 12+ years. They are very impressive for their lifespan. To the best of my memory, one of these targets is at least 5 years old and is still going strong.

If you have any old bag targets, use them to stuff your bag.

It's a great bag. Make sure you cut the metal buttons/snaps off of jeans. They are rough on your field tips.
I have always heard great things about the Blob target. I did get to shoot at one and arrow removal was a breeze. I have one on my list of wants but still have two Morrell bags that I haven't killed yet. :)
