Boat pricing?

We have a 1436 jon boat with a trailer and an early 70's (I think) 25 hp Johnson motor on it.
I am sure the motor would run good, if someone knew how to work on them. As of now I am convinced it is the spawn of the devil himself. :livid:
Boat is not fancy, just a jon boat but it doesn't leak.
Trailer is just a trailer and the lights don't work due to my dogs that like to eat crap. :bash:

Thinking $500 for the whole rig or $400 without the motor.

Does that seem about right?

Seems really cheap to me and you shouldn't have to wait long for your money. I may be way off here but I'm betting you could get 800 out of it without much trouble. With that being said, there are some others here that can probably have more valuable input than i.

sounds like a steal to me. I would want more. That motor will run great, just needs some tlc.

I agree but it seems hard to get anyone to buy anything that needs any work without basically giving it away.
If I knew more about motors I would get it running then try to sell it. :rotf:

I can fix darn near anything and if it is made out of metal I can build it but making a gasoline combustion engine run is definitely not my forte.
