Boiled Country Ham?

You buy a country ham and boil it yourself. I just did one for Thanksgiving.

You don't actually boil it. Bring to a boil and then simmer it til internal temp reaches 160 F.

I bought a Broadbent country ham from their shop in Kuttawa, KY.

Been a minute since I made one but it's pretty simple to do. I used an old metal lard stand, put in ham and fill up with water. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer and let it sit for a couple of hours simmering. Take off heat, wrap lard stand with blankets (to hold in heat) for 24 hrs, drain off water and dig in. It's like eating candy.
