He doesn't matriculate to Knoxville until 2016 and like THEdonkey says he will most likely redshirt his freshman year. He would have redshirted his freshman year in Columbus as well. JT Barrett will be a senior in 2017 and he would not have been challenging to be a starter in Columbus come 2017. By 2018, he'd be fighting Stephen Collier (who will be a senior then), Torrance Gibson (4* coming in this Fall), Joey Burrow (3* this Fall), and Danny Clark (a 2017 commitment stud). So Guarantano would sit a minimum two years in Columbus after he redshirts while he has a shot to start after redshirting in Knoxville. Tristen Wallace is quoted as saying he thinks the QB competition will make him a better QB. That and his 6'3" 230lbs (#3 dual threat QB in his class) made him preferred over Guarantano. Urban picked Wallace after he decommitted to Texas Tech.
