I just bought my first bow from SALTMAN, it is a Limbsaver Deadzone 32. It did not come with sites, so I want to know what are some good sights that you guys are using. I am watching a Copper John Dead Nuts on ebay right now, but with limited knowledge of bow sites i'm just going off looks and what little reviews i can find. Help out a new bow hunter guys and tell me what you think. Not often people want our opinion. lol

I love Copper John sights. Avoid buying anything made of plastic. Sights are really personal preference. Just buy something quality built.

I have several Copper John models, I prefer micro adjust and dovetail extension mounts.

Like was already said. Stay away from plastic!!! I have Trophy Ridge on my bows. Tru-glo is another good sight!
I like a sight with a 2 inch sight ring and about 2 foot of fiber optic per pin. Works for me.

Nice bow too! Congrats!

Bright pins are good and bad. Good for obvious reasons...bad because they halo or glare out really bad. It all has to do with the length of fiber material....the longer it is the brighter the fibers are.

Now for brands of sights. I have been shooting a CBE Sniper Pro for a while now. Having owned 4 Spot Hoggs...I can tell you I would honestly throw a Spot Hogg in the trash for another one of these Sniper Pros. Getting ready to buy their Tek Hunter sight.

Axcel makes good sights to. Look awesome...much easier and more versatile pin adjustments than the Spot Hoggs. The only thing I don't like is their level bubble is cheap looking and all their upper end sights have a stupid Mathews dampener on them.

Black Gold also has some really good hunting sights. My wife's hunting bow has a Black Gold Rush on it. VERY bright pins...lots of fiber material but WAY to bright for my personal taste.

Just got my first bow as well, an old ('80's model) Browning Magnum. It came with a plastic 3 pin sight. Was cruising through Walmart today and looked through the clearance aisle and found a TRUGLO Brite*Site with LED for $10.00. It's not a CBE, Spot Hog, Black Gold, or an Axcel, but for someone like me on a budget it's perfect. To quote another member here, vonhogslayer, "the deer don't care".

LOL. I got one from ebay, go figure and paid 20.00 for it. It looks ok but like normal as soon as i got it i started moving pins to where I THOUGHT I wanted them, now i need to move them again, back to where they were in the first place.

Uh oh...Moved mine too...But I did try to get three of them close to where the three pins on the cheapo sight were located. It's cool, lights up real nice.

I think i'm going to move them before i get used to them. I want the red pin at the 40 yard and my dumb@$$ thought i was moving it to the right to where it should be and now i have to try to get it close and move it back. I think i'm going to have the guy at the BPS help me out.

Just start close and sight in your top pin at 15 yards to start out . When you start grouping arrows , move the pin in the direction the arrows are grouping . If you are scattering arrows , work on your form until you can group them tightly at that distance , then work on sighting in your other pins in 10 yard increments . Be patient .
