well tech bought it, i sent the check out for it so i won't actually have it for a week or 2.

I am freaking fired up about it thought!!!!!!!!

Black Franchi Affinity 20 Gauge with a 26" barrel. Went ahead and got black and i plan on getting it dipped sometime over the next year when i can save up for it. This one i won't do much to it minus dipping it. Ordered 6 boxes of Federal HeavyWeight 7s from Dunns to shoot out of it. Now just have to find what choke i want to use in it.

I may at some point put a FF3 or something on it but for a while I am just gonna shoot the bead. I am excited for sure, can't wait to fool around with it and really can't wait for dove season now!
 
yes it uses the mobil choke system. It literally is a M2 with the recoil spring in the for end rather then the but stock and minus the comfortech stock.

while i love stoegers, Franchi is a major step up on quality over the stoeger but just under the M2 and they come with a 7 year warranty which is super high for any gun. if you do a search on them you won't find a bad remark about them. i just came to the conclusion that if i was gonna buy a 20 I would go ahead and buy the best quality made one i could afford.....and I'm already familiar with Franchi and bias to the inertia/benelli system so it was a perfect match.

Franchi are actually made in the Benelli factory in Italy where stoeger are still turkish made outside of benelli and just use benelli as the parent (again nothing against them i have owned 2 stoegers and loved them).

I ended up getting it from Michael Murphy & Sons out of KS (which they are highly regarded and are great to deal with) and i got it for over $100 less then anywhere else including gun brokers. I called whitikers in KY as well and they are also around the same price but they didn't have any in stock.

Bet you're happy with whatever turkey choke you try, and you possibly may find those Feds do pretty well with whatever comes with the gun.

I am the same way with shotguns
I bought a versa max last Feb and was looking to add an 870
and finally ordered one and got it last weekend

I love the looks of these guns. I plan to get a 20 in the next couple years and have seriously looked at this. The one thing I don't like about it is the weird recoil pad. I had to extend the length of pull on my SBE by an inch and an eighth, and I don't know how I could put spacers with that weird pad.
 
I'm a little jealous on this one. Was torn between an 1187 20 and the Franchi Affinity 20 gauge (camo) last year. Really liked the Franchi but decided to go with the 1187 in the end. I had issues with it - but Remington replaced the gun without issue. In the end I'm happy with the 1187 - it is just heavier to haul around.
