I purchased the IBEX... QUESTION- should i get the surpressors and string silencers, are these items worth putting on my bow. will they make a difference ?? how often do you wax the string and rail ?? any other tips are appreciated as well, thx

Congrats! You will love it! I have the S5 suppresors on mine and I like it. It doesn't make a ton of difference as far as sound goes but it does seem to dampen the vibration. I wax the serving about every 30-40 shots. I don't wax my rail.

thx tw.... what items would be good to carry to the woods in case i need to repair something??? ..heaven forbid. i am thinking a spare string to start off. speaking of strings, i see there are a few different types. any advise on which spare string or just stay with original. thx

I would carry a rope cocker of course, a stringer, and a spare string that has already been stretched and broken in. If you are new to crossbows I would stick with the original string for right now. They are more forgiving in the case of a dry fire.

String suppressors are a good investment. Not only will they reduce vibration, they will also extend serving life and provide a measure of protection in the event of a dry fire.

Congrats. I have an Equinox. I'm going to change out all of my fletching to 2" helical. Crossbows need the extra stabilization when the broadhead is attached. Good luck. ;)
