Man how embarrasing can it be!! Bass Pro had PSE and Browning archery reps at the bass pro store in Nashville this weekend!! So one of the reps is pulling back a Browning Rage compound bow and you guessed it!! KABLOOOM!!!!!!!!!!! I mean this thing went to pieces!! The top limb almost took Billy out and I mean out!! HE had just leaned over to get something and the top limb shot into the back wall and dented it!! I mean I saw this thing and man it was in 8 pieces!!! Wonder if tht customer will be buying a Browning!! LOL!! Glad know one was hurt. I will tell you that I have never seen a bow blown to pieces that bad in my life!! it looks like someone set a grenade on it!! Just mangled into pieces!! Unbelievable!! If you get buy bass pro this weekend ask to see it! You won't believe it!!

Glad no one got hurt . I have only seen one bow blow up in my life and I was drawing it at a proshop . The bow was a Martin . I lost confidence in the brand after that .

my very first bow was a Hoyt Raider. It was smaller for kids and women. I was on stand and had a doe come by with a spike and a six point behind her. I stood and started to draw. The next thing i knew, i was being held by my safety harness, i was still holding the riser but there were pieces of bow everywhere. The six point was about 50 yards away looking up at me like WTF!

All manufacturers have limb failures. The good ones replace the limbs no questions asked. I had one blow up on me once and it was a $1000 target bow.
Bowtech even went so far as to recall the General limbs, which was an admirable move.
Glad nobody was hurt....not that you can hurt Billy

Found out the guy bought one after seeing it blow up!! He brougt it back after 2 days saying he was un easy pulling it back after seeing that. Wonder why he bought one right after seeing that. The bow was straight off the rack at Bass Pro!

I don't know if I would trust some one at a big chain store or any one for that matter to set up my bow.

Browning makes a good bow . It happens to all manufacturers . BTW , I stopped in Bass Pro in Nashville last year and shot several bows , and the bow tech there was knowledgeable and reads this forum frequently .

Well, I shoot a Browning Rage. I will probably think about it every time I shoot it for a while after reading this.

Heck, whos knows what happened to the bow before he picked it up..
I have been in several bow shops and have seen so many people dry fire a bow. And then put it back on the shelf and walk away.
Just because it happend dont judge the company.
I was at PSE headquarters back in June. Watched them test a Mathews DXT. It blew up on the 32nd pull. There was fragments in the roof from where a Bow Tech blew up.
There is a reason behind why things happen

I was shooting my Jennings Buckmaster about 3 or 4 years ago. When I let go the string snapped and parts went everywhere. Scared the crap out of me. I used it as an excuse to buy a new bow. LOL
