My son wants a bow for Christmas and i know almost nothing about them He's 10 about 100lbs not sure whether i should get a youth adjustable compound ( if they make one ) or a recure. Any suggestions Thanks
Both are fine. I have a recurve for my kids and they love it. It is also nice that I don't have to adjust the draw length. I have heard that the diamond ice is a nice compound for kids. You can go to WWW.threeriversarchery.com for recutve bows for kids. They have excellent customer service and you can call and ask what will work for your son.
I purchased my daughter a Diamond Razor Edge last year for Christmas. It has been a great bow for her. She will probably be getting a new one before 3-d starts back up in the spring.
With her growing alot this past year she will be able to shoot a womens bow in the 45 lb range.
I got my, then 12 year old, daughter a Bear Apprentice last Christmas. She is 13 now and 100 pounds and is pulling 40 pounds. The bow is quite and accurate and came with usable sights and a whisker biscuit. I got her 1/2 a dozen gold tips and she has only lost one in a year. She was hoping to be ready to take a deer this year, but she has decided to wait. Her groups are decent, but she still has fliers fairly often.
