Way back in Booger Woods..........
while i was sitting around at work yesterday waiting on "the word" which is pretty much what we do everyday (anyone whos in the army or has served knows what im talkin about), i broke out a bowhunting magazine to help past the time.

one article i read was what has bow hunting taught you. and it got me to thinking.

there is no doubt ive learned alot in the deer woods with my bow. life lessons if you will. patiance, timing, anger control, respect and life and death as well. ive also learned to be humble in the things i do as well. all these things have carried over into my non hunting side of life.

what has bow hunting taught you????

that is a great question for my self it has tought me how tp judge distances with out thinking about it and to be calm and still. for any bowhunter this is a great question to ask your self thanks for posting

Humility and confidence.
People. I have learned more about people than I thought I would.
Cause and effect. Everything is connected and related.

Bowhunting, when broken down, can teach anyone about life's lessons. Patience, humility, right, wrong, life and death can be defined in the true essence of bowhunting. The lesson of learning people is one that is a two edges sword. One thing that can rear its ugly head in bowhunting is jealousy. Green eyed envy over new equipment, bigger and higher scoring animals harvested, places to hunt. These things can make the best of friends the worst of enemies in a very short span. Even the whole fraternity of bowhunters, just because we love to bowhunt, can be divided by anything that 2 folks can disagree about. At the same time it can bring people that are miles apart together and form long lasting friendships.

Bowhunting has taught me patience .

Me too Scott. It has also taught me to deeply appreciate the outdoors and the wildlife I pursue.

Along with patience , bowhunting is a constant learning experience about deer and deer hunting that cant be learned from a book or internet forum .
I never quit learning about deer and try to learn from my own mistakes and the lessons the deer give me through observation .
To me bowhunting is a true hunting experience that will teach any hunter to become a better hunter .
Just when a hunter thinks they know everything , they will get taught a new lesson . Never quit learning .
