Did anyone see the De Cristo guy who owned Lone Wolf treestands talk about bow hunting lower to the ground?

Less of a shooting angle,for better kills.etc.
He hunts about 8- 10' of the ground, and kills giants.

I normally climb very high, but am planning on dropping to about 12-14 ft this year with a bow.

Probably go up to 25 ft. with a gun.

Typically, I hunt from 15 to no more than 20. Depends on the cover and wind. I understand the angle conception but I have never had any real issues with that. Plan Plan Plan the shot.

I like to hunt at ~18-20' b/c I fidget and that helps me get busted less, but after hunting at 10-15' in WY all week I'm rethinking the height.

I hunt as high as 30' if the situation allows it, every setup is different with some being lower. Gameye is right, angle is generally not a problem!

I've hunted as low as 10 ft only because that was the only tree that I could climb in the area. Generally, I'm around 20ft up. It has alot to do with the cover around. If there's alot of branches to break your outline up, you don't have to climb as high. If it's a straight tree and not alot of cover, generally I'll climb around 25ft. Late season, I may go as high as 30-35.
