Cool little story. Got in my tripod stand overlooking the hay field. At first light the field was speckled with deer. Had two does at 5 yards grazing and 2 small 6-points sparring at 20 yards. Old Mr. song dog came out of a thicket and ran those four off. The yote went into the big timber and dissapeared. All the other deer remained in the field. I would say 18-20, mostly does and yearlings. From a small bedding area about 200 yards to my right i see a large bodied deer exit it. He was headed to a small group of does. He got to them and started nudging a few around. I decided to do a grunt sequence on the third or fourth grunt he was wide open coming towards me. He closed the gap to 20 yards stopped facing me and was scanning the tree line my stand is in . after 10-15 seconds he turned to head to the does. i hit the grunt one more time, he spun around, walked within 8 yards and turned broadside. Needless to say he recieved a meat missile from the Hoyt turbo Hawk.

Lol. Little saying all the older guys i grew up around used to refer to arrows. Thanks catman. I've killed some good deer out of that field.

Ok ok. You all got me. I'm a pilot and flew my f-14 over the field and shot him with a missile.

Taximan. I thought it was a great hunt and wanted to share. Ill be a little more boring next time. Lol

Did you give him the meat missile before or after you killed him. Both are pretty disturbing and confusing but I'm pretty sure if it was after then it was worse.

congrats on the buck by the way

I would say after would be easier Dbllunger. Would'nt have to worry about getting your eye poked out.

Thanks alot for the congrats.. I was proud of him...
