Bow only

I will be excited to gun hunt also, but it is great we get such a head start with a bow. All of October, which should be some great hunting. Already getting cooler in the mornings.
Hope we all let some arrows fly and they hit their mark this weekend.

I enjoy the solitude of bowseason ,but I hunt with a bow the entire hunting season . Those who put down the bow in November are missing the best bowhunting of the season .

I can see how you could enjoy bow hunting the entire season.
I like to gun hunt also.
I would have to hunt a lot more and probably not take the 6 I normally put in the freezer if I did not gun hunt.

Love to shoot my 7MM MAG.
Am buying a TC muzzleloader from a tndeer member next week,so that will be fun also. It has the Nikon scope and is good out to 200 yds.,if it's shot correctly.

I am also going to do the same thing. All though I enjoy taking a deer with a gun or MZ. I don't enjoy it as much as i do with a bow.

I just love to bowhunt , so instead of putting the bow down when the hunting is just getting good during the rut , I keep bowhunting . The only thing I change is going to hunter orange during the firearms seasons .
Most of my stands are in thick areas , so I don't think a bow limits my range much in those situations . When I see a deer out of bow range , I don't think about carrying a gun instead of my bow , I think about how I'm going to close the distance on my next hunt if I see a travel pattern develop .
Bucks can be hard to pattern during the peak of the rut when they are seeking does , so I hunt the does during this time .
