My wife was shooting her bow this afternoon and all of a sudden it starting making a popping noise when she pulls it back and it either won't draw back all the way or the draw length reduced itself, any ideas?

Re: Now problem

Does it have a module to adjust the draw lenght? If so, check and make sure the screws are tight and none have came out.

this . What bow is it ? I would assume the mod screws came loose .

Check the mod screws to make sure they are there and tight . If you could post pictures of both cams I'm sure we could sort it out . Make sure the pics are on the mod side .

Re: Now problem

Ok, I will when I get home, I checked the screws though and they were tight but after not being drawn back for about a hour it is popping really loud.

Re: Now problem

That cable serving in pic #2 is chewed all to crap. It may be the cable popping out of the cam groove causing the popping sound...something is eating it alive though and that ain't gonna last long. Its chewed up pretty good.

Make sure the mod screws are tight...I had a PSE Evo that would do the same exact thing and sometimes it would rattle and some times it would not. A buddy of mine is shooting a 2014 Supra Max and we were at a shoot a few weekends ago and I noticed his bow popping when he would come to full draw. I thought it was his release clicker at first til I noticed it was doing it when the cam was rolling over into the valley. His cable was much worse than your bow...but in about the same place. His cam was actually broken where the cable loops around...and when he would come to full draw it was the actual cam piece that was cracked that was making the clicking sound.

Re: Now problem

Like crow said , something is chewing that cable up . If its coming out of the track , try to find out why . If the cam is kicking sideways on the draw its probably a broken bearing or something . I wouldn't shoot it anymore untill it is diagnosed though .
