I have a PSE compound bow and a Excalibur crossbow and I would like to find a bow shop that has a chronograph so that I can check my arrow speed with different setups (different arrows and broadheads).

I would also like to put lighted nocks on my bolts and arrows, and reflective arrow wraps on them as well. Does anyone normally carry those items or are they special order only?

I have tried the Gander Mountain shop before but the last few times I have been there I can't find anyone at the bow counter.

I live in Crossville and would be willing to drive as far as Knoxville, Cookeville, Livingston, Chattanooga.

outdoor connection right there in your hometown
I'll 2nd Outdoor Connection. Greg is a really nice guy, I'm sure he can help ya' out. He let me slide on $25 bucks that I owed him for setting up my bow until I could get the money. Not many places would do that for someone. I ended up selling some things and got enough to pay him and pick up a few arrows too. Unless it's something he just doesn't stock I'll not order online anymore, I'd rather get it from him and support his local business.

Yeah if you like dealing with a grumpy old man. Not very helpful, but has a nice range.

I completely beg to differ. Joe's a great guy and is very knowledgeable.

That's what everyone has told me. That's why I went there. Couldn't get any advice out of him. Seemed more bothered than anything. Alot of people say he had some heath issues and didn't really enjoy doing it anymore. Talked to another bow tech, that said he has been fixing alot of Joe's work recently, said he couldn't believe it was done by Joe. I don't know, I didn't like it and wouldn't go back.

And here's one more reason why Greg at Outdoor Connection is my "go to" Pro Shop. I took in 3, 28.5" Epics yesterday to see if I can trade em' and maybe some cash for 3, 29.5" Epics so all my arrows would match. Anyway, went in today and Greg just cut me 3 new arrows and traded straight across. Not many Pro Shops have Customer Service like that.

I agree. Wasn't worth the trouble trying to find it.

When I was still at Ft. Campbell, I went to a place my mentor had told me about. It's Dickson Co. Sportsman Store, in Dickson. The price was right and they have or I should say did have a guy named Thomas that was brilliant at setting me up. I wouldn't let anyone set anything I had up except Thomas. I'll have to stop by on the way home in June to see them.
