Bow wax

I was wondering what type string wax some of you use. Also I saw some string cleaner in cabelas and wondered if anyone uses it. It seems like the wax I am using builds up on my string just wondering what everyones thought is on this. Thanks

Good question...my Bohning wax likes to build up as well.

You can clean it off with dental floss. Wrap the floss around the string and pull it up and down to clean off excess.

If you have bad build up you're probably using too much wax. I use scorpion venom with a leather patch to rub it in. A little goes a long way.

Where can you get the Scorpion Venom?

Take a buisness care fold it around your string an rub it in it will heat the wax and make and make it get to the inside strings

I have a cheap synthetic leather chamois for drying the car in the garage. I cut 4"x4" squares off and this works great. I have a blister on my index finger cause I was really heating up the wax the last time.
