I'm in the market for a new bow this summer! My question is I have 26 inch draw. What bow or what characteristics do I need to be looking for to get the most speed I can.
Good advise !bowhunter163 said:^^^ hello fellow short armed archer . I have a 26" draw also . I have given up on the speed deal because we don't stand a chance shooting really fast speeds . What we can do is shoot an efficient set up that was blistering fast 5-10 years ago . I would recommend shooting a bunch of different bows and finding one that feels and holds the best for you . Although you can use speed as a deciding factor I would not . After all the only thing speed will do is help you miss faster if you aren't comfortable with the bow .
With that said what kind of brands are you looking at ? PSE has a good short draw line available with impressive speeds . Hoyt's are good feeling and shooting bows for us short armed fellers . Just depends on what you are looking for .

you will never have the same pin gaps as the longer draw length guys . I have the same problem . You can shoot the exact same speed as a longer draw archer but your peep to pin and how you see your sight will make your pin gaps larger . All I know is it has something to do with the peep to pin , peep to arrow height , and how your eye perceives the sight .chebuck said:Well let me clarify my self.
