Bowfishing

I screwed my reel holder into my recurve yesterday. I'm looking forward to it. Didn't take my bow out with me at all last year.

Me and the family went yesterday for about and hour. Cloudy, lots of wind, and cool but saw several and ended up with one. A couple of my buddies have had good luck the last week or so on warm sunny days. Just finished building my light rails and putting lights on so be it day or night the arrows will be flying now.

I'd rather do it at night personally. A lot calmer (no other boats and wake) and the fish seem less skidish. Plus I like to hit the water around 3 catch blue gill and hang limb lines. Then we will bow fish a hour or two go run lines/re bait then back to bow fishing etc. plus there is something about a warm spring/summer night on the water.

I'm having a tournament this weekend at Turk's in Ooltewah if anyone is interested. You can see tournament details on BowfishingCountry.com under tournaments. Turk's Big 10

Good luck with the tournament. Yuns should have a good one if the rain holds off. Went back Sunday when there was more sun out and a bit warmer and the gar were stacked everywhere. The bad is that the carp were still staying deep. Buddy of mine called me Wed. evening and had seen a buch rolling and had been out Tues. night and had shot some. Oh and if you ain't never been at night, try it once and you will be hooked.
