Bowtech News

Seems like an odd hire, How much experience does this guy have in the archery world? Why would Bowtech hire this Guy?? Snap on tools and archery are two totally different animals.Seems like Bowtech is more interested in marketing than their products or atleast by hiring this guy thats how it makes me feel.I hope this guy takes the ball and runs with it, but I have my doubts.

my guess, w seay,

would be coming from snap-on that he know market preceptions, product marcketing, general management, and the fact that snap-on tools is an industrial leader that he might make the company better( i dont know for the life of me how anyone other than our Lord being the CEO would make it any better)

or maybe they are going to a 6 sigma operation, or something of that nature, i dont knnow but thats what sticks out to me.

da possum

Thats just what I am getting at possum,
Everyone bashes Mathews for all their marketing, Now it certainly appears that Bowtech is jumping on the "marketing bandwagon" due to the specific person they are hiring to run the show.! I guess bowtech finally decided that if we can't beat em, join em!

Your joking, right? I can give you a hundred reasons to hire someone with his credentials. If it was Mathews you would be praising him. BTW, I will not give you even one reason, hopefully you can figure a few of them out.

They are hiring him because of his marketing credentials, they finally see how successful Mathews is with their marketing and want a piece of the pie.Trust me, I definitely would not praise Mathews if they went and hired a guy with NO ARCHERY EXPERIENCE to lead their ship!As I said earlier, I hope this guy does GREAT things for bowtech but I seriously doubt he will make much of a difference.

I'd like to hear a few reasons other than marketing. I only want 5 or 6 though. I dont care enough about a second rate bow company to read 100. Stir........Stir

i, w. seay have never bashed mathews over marketing, i just dont like the arogance of the shooters that i have met personaly

and by the way bowtech out sold mathews last year they aint lerning from them they use the much more usefull word of mouth and now you watch these hunting shows and ALOT that where shooting mathews is going to bowtech. i cant speak for them personaly but, for me bowtech is the bow i like, then pse and i am seeing a drastic change in what bow everybody shoots, the mathew crew will retain the ones that they are paying but bowtech and pse are picking up a lot more these days, just my 2 cents.

I will take quality over quantity anyday!Thats why I love Mathews. I tried last year to make myself like the bowtechs and I just couldn't believe how extremely rough their drawcycles were! The bowtechs backwall had a MUCH larger hump in it than ANYother bow I have ever shot. And the straw that broke the camels back was how cheaply done the bowtechs camo job looked! Not to mention the bowtechs are $90.00 MORE than the newest Mathews!

My first thought was why then I thought for a minute. They hired a president who for all we know has always been big into archery just not worked in the field(it did say he had a love for archery and the outdoors). A presidents job is to run a company and hire employees that can do the job. No president that I know of can do much of the engineers job that is why they have engineers. If he can run a company(he has proved he can) and make sure he has the best people under him, Bowtech will be okay.

Yes, if that is the qualifications companies are looking for, you might just be reading a post from the future CEO of Budweiser.

I think some folks here have created some pretty complex opinions from an announcement. I think I would like a little more info on the guy before I judge how he will affect the company.

Mathews is the only bow for me but I truely wish this guy and bowtech well.In the end, the more bows that are sold, the better it is for hunting whether they have a Mathews, bowtech, pse etc logo.

This is crap and you know it. You do not genuinely care about any of these companies except Mathews. The archery industry is here to serve you not you serving the archery community. Just be honest for crying out loud.

If I didn't wish the other companies well, trust me, I would say so! I say what I mean, no beating around the bush from me (as you can tell by reading all my posts)But working for a successful family owned company, I wouldn't ever wish failure on another persons company!

With all the negative posts I read from you anymore I guess it is hard to believe.

I can't help it, Sometimes I am just in the mood to troll.I am a Mathews man but I have no problem whatsoever with someone shooting a bow other than a Mathews.Just because Mathews is the only bow for me, doesn't mean that it is for everyone else, I understand that completely but I just like trolling sometimes.

Instead of trolling and trying to stir up crap , why don't you contribute something positive to the bow forum by helping others out . You seem to have alot to offer regarding archery and bowhunting besides being a instigator .

You are right Radar, I will do my best to not instigate anymore.
