My girlfriend is interested in getting a bow and startin to shoot with me. I have been looking but can't seem to find any womens bows for cheap. Do any of you know of any good bows for beginners/ladies? She is 5'3" 115lbs and she would probably need a 35-40lb draw. Any input will help I haven't been in the bow market for a few years.

Not sure what your cheap is, different for all folks. But theres a good thread about the YOUNG GUNS truth bow.. I think it's 350 or so.. if not get on archerytalk and they have a section for women.

Anything in the Mission line-up would be a good one. Also take a look at the new woman's bow from Mathews, the Passion.

Might want to look at the Diamond Edge.
PSE also has a couple of bows that aren't real expensive and are geared toward smaller archers.

bought my girlfriend a browning micro-adrenaline last august, she shot every day with me and ended up killing one in october with it, she loves it, it only ran about 329.

We also looked at the diamond edge and pse stingers

I forgot to add my smiley the first time. I am the king of typos when on Facebook. I alway do typos that make me look stupid too.

Check out Shootlikeagirl and see if they are gonna be anywhere near you. She can shoot lots of bows fit to her draw and they will fill out a card for her to take home with her draw weight, length and which bow(s) she preferred.
If this is not an option, get her to a pro shop and let her try some different ones and get measured to assure a proper fit. It ain't fun if the bow don't fit.

Keep the weight of the bow in mind also. (I don't mean draw weight, but what the bow actually weighs.) In general, females are more sensitive to how much weight they are suspending.

I have a Jennings youth bow that I would let go cheap ($100). It was my sons bow for a couple of years till he out grew it. It is 40-50 Lb draw and has module that can be changed for diff draw lenths
