Where on the riser do you measure to get brace height?

If you have a rest that mounts behind the shelf does that "shorten" your brace height?

Measure from the deepest part of the grip to the string is how I do it.

If you have a rest that mounts behind the shelf does that "shorten" your brace height?

The rest location behind the shelf doesn't change the actual brace height as measured from the throat of the grip to the string , but it does increase the grip torque because it changes the fulcrum point near the wrist.
