I am fixing to start loading 270 wsm, like to hear what your opinion on brass is would you rather have remington or winchester.

I started with Federal and switched to R-P. Right now, I'm getting ready to test some PRIVI brass in 7mm08.

I like R-P. Seems like the weights are more consistent and the flash hole are centered.

I have had good success with norma and nosler in the past, and I can buy norma for the 270 wsm just wondered if it is worth 2x the price of win or rem

Nosler is becoming my Favorite brass,,I use it in everything I can except the 338,and I use Lapua brass for it,,Nosler seems to be as uniform as Lapua but maybe not hardly as tough,,

if Nosler makes 270 WSM brass I would highly recommend trying it

my experience with Norma brass is only with 204,308 and 257 Weatherby,,I had to trash the 204 after 2 loadings due to primers falling out,,and it was not near as hot a load as I had been shooting with the factory Hornady brass that lasted 8-9 cycles

Isn't Nosler brass made by Federal? Nosler just preps the brass so it can be loaded right out of the box.

For the 270 WSM, I shot my best groups with Federal and RL19.

if the Nosler is prepped Federal brass,,I would not do the prepping for what they charge,,

the last 200 223 Nosler cases I bought all weighed within .1 gr and all the flash holes were perfect,,

heck I wouldn`t deburr the flash holes for the xtra money they cost..

My 270 WSM load shows pressure signs in Federal brass, but shows none with Remington brass. As much as I am not a Remmy guy, most of my pet loads use their brass.
