My son killed a very nice breaded hen. I was wondering if there are any records on hens. The bread on this bird is 7 3/4 long. I know this is rare and I have never seen a breaded hen during turkey season. He got one and I was hoping to find out what the record on something like this would be.

Any help???

got one last year 9 inch beard she was the dominant hen of the bunch. I had crawled to within 20 yds and watched for 10 min. I saw her beard didn't even think about it being a hen, shot it and then walked up an realized it was hen.....fyi bearded produce multiple beard gobblers.

Re: Bearded hen???

Who told you that?

i heard that too but have not seen any proof of it.I doubt it is true.i think someone said it to try to keep people from shooting hens with beards. :D

I have also heard that there is a genetic trait that bearded hens produce multiple bearded gobblers.
No clue if that is accurate or not but I have heard it.

Congrats on the turkey.
I saw one last weekend that had a beard that was 9 or 10 inches long.
