Well I threw me a pork butt in the fridge to thaw a few days ago. Thinking I will get a deer (dang deer don't always cooperate). So after another dry evening of hunting figure lets make breakfast sausage with the pork butt. Fellas you aint made breakfast sausage yet, no deer needed and cost me about 1.30 a lb way less salt and no fillers. Ended up with about 8lb of sausage. Only problem not a lot of grease to make sausage gravy from this sausage. Still got 3 pork butts waiting on the deer for my sausage making.
