When you get done sharpening broadheads put some chapstick or bow string wax on the edge to keep them from oxidizing or rusting. The edge is so fine and traditional heads are usually made of metals that rust. They will get dull in a quiver and now you know how to keep them sharp longer. It will not affect anything when they make contact with a deer.
There's nothing more aggravating than spending time sharpening heads only to find them dull tomorrow.
