I saw a turkey vest last year that I really liked.
It was the Mossy Oak Supreme Elite or something like that.
It has one of those big 3" thick pads on it.
Everywhere I found it the price was right at a hundred bucks and I just couldn't see it.
They had it at Gander Mountain in Paducah today and it was $79 so I went ahead and shot the moon.
Guess I will transfer everything over to it tomorrow. :D

Good vest, and hope it works out for you. If you hate it, you might check out the "Limbhanger" it is one the came out with last year to replicate a limited edition vest. It is pretty slick.
Yessir! Ive been through several vests and the Limbhanger is right up there at the top. I bought one last year and wouldnt trade it for nuthin. ;) The elite is a good vest too....but it just wasnt comfortable on me.

i've had the same ole vest for about 21 years, didn't really see anymore other than the one i bought back then.I still hate em!!
Becareful, the more room ya got the more s*** you'll carry.
But the pouch in the back is worth every penny when luggin a big bird out of the mtns.

I bought a new vest last year before the season and never wore it...I just wore my bow hunting gear and the vest is still in my camo bag with the tags still on it. Good luck this season Ruger

Agreed. I have one that I got from bass pro a couple of years ago with about 20 pockets for around $50. It was cool at first to put every call in my arsenal until I put it on and it was way too heavy. As long as you have a pocket for a couple of slate calls, box call, mouth call and another deep pocket, it will work just fine.

Very true!! I usually wear mine about the 1st week of season then it starts getting hot & heavy & I start trying to stay cool & light. They do come in handy when totin a bird out though!!

Broke down and bought me one too. Dicks has field & stream brands. Think i payed 49$ or 59$.

Agree with kdxdude, My vest is pretty heavy come opening morning , but it gets lighter as the season goes on.

What they said. All i want mine for anymore is carrying the bird out.

i am telling you IF you are not wearing the Turkey Lounge Vest you are missing out!! the only vest i have EVER used and enjoyed...you can set it up anywhere and dont even need a tree. Heck i can sit for hours on that thing!!

i mean it opened up SO much more in turkey season when i was not worried about getting uncomfortable. It is the TREE LOUNGE of turkey hunting.

I broke down last year and got a vest. I'm a miser in the making so it took me forever to get over spending the money and it was a cheaper one anyway.

Luckily for me I justify the cost by using the vest in deer and turkey season. I like having all those extra pockets around no matter what the season.

I bought a Tatical Tat'r from Cabelas about 2 weeks ago and when I got it I hated it. Thought for $100 it would be a lot nicer, so I sent it back and got my money back and am prolly going to Bass Pro and buy the Mossy Oak Super Elite III this weekend. Looks like a great vest and I'll be able to put some money back in my pocket!

I don't personally wear it, but it looks good. I wear a Bucklick vest as I like the self supporting seat.
Don't usualy wear one but bought one this year from Redhead with the self supporting seat...Use to have one and loved it...E-bay $60 dollars...
