Bruton Smith got it bought! Now he will begin lobbying for a Sprint race opn the schedule! MAN That is such good news. I sure like seeing Bruton getting involved with a track. If anyone can get a SPRINT race to KY BRUTON CAN!!!

Yep, you are right,
Bruton sure can get a race to a track. Like TX and Cali, in fact they each got 2 a piece now. And guess who lost out? The Southern fans who helped the sport explode.

So good for KY, I can assure you with 36 points weekends, adding another 3 for non points, you can rest assured Nascar will NOT add another weekend just cause fatarse bought a track. So a race WILL be taken away from somewhere.

Let us hope it is TX, oh wait, Bruton owns that, got the race from Darlington, won't be there. Let us hope it is Loudon, oh wait, Bruton got the second TX race in a split deal for buying Rockingham, won't be there. Maybe it will be Charolotte? Oh wait, he already held the entire council of Concord hostage as he built a dragway against their vote and THEN threatened to move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HEY, maybe it'll be Daytona that loses a race!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR Bristol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or Charlotte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeay for KY!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now Humpy Wheeler is retiring. That leaves us with just Bruton. Kind of like putting Paris Hilton in charge of your credit accounts!

LOL, check to see if that ink is dry fellas.

On Thursday, Smith, the chairman and CEO of Speedway Motorsports, Inc., announced that he purchased Kentucky Speedway. Smith added that the 1.5-mile track located outside of Cincinnati would hold a Sprint Cup race in 2009.
"One of the great things about Bruton Smith that I've found is he delivers," said Jerry Carroll, the leader of Kentucky Speedway's ownership group. "Yes, he will deliver a race. He will bring a race there next year. I do not have any idea where it's coming from, but when he tells me he's going to bring a race ... we would not have done this deal if we didn't think Bruton was going to bring a race."

But, aaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwww,

NASCAR's decision Friday to not have a Sprint Cup race at Kentucky Speedway in 2009, despite a change in ownership to Bruton Smith, has left the track's founder livid.

Smith, the Speedway Motorsports Inc. owner, announced Thursday that he had purchased the Kentucky track, located halfway between Cincinnati and Louisville, with the intention of having a Cup race there next season.

There is a 90-day window in which Smith can walk away from the deal.

Who wants to bet me what happens here?

Trust me, you do NOT want Bruton owning a track anymore. He has provent to be the ultimate profit oriented business bully that exists. What he threatened the city of Concord with last year showed his true colors.

This Ky deal will also.
