Bucks moving!

Same here except my pictures have all been early morning. Doe groups that come through now usually have a small buck following the group but have also had the bigger bucks showing up later checking the doe as well. Also have seen scrape activity really pick up. Where I am at in NE TN I have seen chasing as early as beginning of Nov. if we could have a big cold front come through I think it would really take off up here in the next couple weeks.

I moved a camera to a scrape that opened up right before the last front just over 2 weeks ago. I had excellent buck activity in the scrape and daylight action, new bucks showing up etc. throughout the cool down. Once it warmed back up, Ive had virutally no daylight buck activity, although bucks have still been fairly regular.

Two nights ago, I had my first does peeing in the scrape, and then again last night.

I'm hoping it is gonna pop off with this rain and cool down tomorrow and friday.

Had one 7pt come through checking a scrape at first light about a week ago and since then haven't seen any bucks or does on camera at all in East TN. Very warm here. Hoping Saturday morning will be good after the rain and a little cooler. I would guess next weekend is when it will really start to pop off. I see rain Wednsday, Thursday, and Friday and cooling off big time starting Thursday and staying cool the next several days with highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 40s! Looks like the 8th thru the 13th is looking prime! I killed a nice 9point last year on the 11th coming into a rut funnel with a doe right behind me.

Really slow at my place. Maybe ehd dieoff dunno, but we are just not getting any good bucks on our cameras this year at all.
Huh, I've also thought my area in Middle TN had an EHD die off too. I smelled a lot of dead deer in creeks around me in August/September.
Same situation here, no great bucks and not many does either.

Rut funnel😂

What else do you call it when its a steep valley that does and bucks only move thru during the rut?
Sounds to me like a steep valley, just picking at ya, cant stand all the tv catch phrases.the set hung in the feed trees ,above the rut funnel, next to the thermal hub, really smokes my cookie😂😂

Last few nights I have really started Noticing bucks are moving a lot more on cameras and starting to make their loops checking on does. But it's all nighttime activity every bit of it. I think that's due to these insanely high temperatures. Hopefully as rut starts ramping up, we will get some daytime activity soon.
I had an uptick in buck pics a week or so ago but since, i have see very little buck activity on the property. I know they are there but I guess they are being camera shy...lol
