bulk 5.56 powder ??

anybody use H4198 with 50-55 gr bullets,,loading 500-1000 at a time i need to load on the cheap,

according to my calculations,,Varget gets me 270 rounds a pound,,the H4198 would do 350,

anybody shoot this for accuracy and speed from a 16 inch bbl,,

how much speed is there from 55 fMJ and 20 grs H4198 and whats the accuracy like,,is 2950-3000 doable with moa groups..

if its even close 80 rounds a pound would be a cost cutter..

Midwayusa had a blowout sale on powder. I bought a boat load of TAC for $12 per pound. I have never counted the rounds per can, but I would say you will get in the neighborhood of 300 or more.

I have never used TAC but looks like you ought to get around 280 rnds per pound depending on your load. It is supposed to be a good powder for the .223. I would like to have 2-3 pounds of $12 TAC. PH
