Nothing gets me more fired up than a giant bodied bull of the woods. Let's see some of the big old studs some of you guys have taken over the years. I've been fortunate to hunt some fertile land in the past and biggest one I killed I didn't get a chance to weigh but he was second in weight to a deer I did actaully weigh that went 235 lbs field dressed. So we estimated him to be around 240-250 which is enormous body wise here. He was a middle TN river bottom buck.

But what I'm really interested in is what you guys have taken and what type of habitat he was in. I think the largest woodland deer I have killed was right around 190-200 lbs field dressed if I remember correctly.

Let's see some pics..

Figured I'd start it off with a trail camera pic of the deer I was referring to above, my face is too ugly for the kill pic!

Trail camera pics are good too, we can try to guess weight and then ask Santa for a scale later if needed.

We need kill pic, blur out face if needed!

Personally my biggest was a 163 lb field dressed 10 pt. Carroll county deer. Not many crops in the immediate area

Williamson County River bottom buck- 250lbs live weight. @catman529 and I had fun getting that one out.

The areas I primarily hunt in southern middle Tn bucks rarely exceed 175lbs dressed. I don't have a pic but my biggest weighed 168lbs dressed, hills and hollers of Lawrence county with no ag around.

Smiley faces will have to do.

Those are his sheds from the year before, we didn't think we would kill him. But I got on the edge of his bedding area and he just happened to have an early doe in heat that made him visible in daylight. I had his sheds in my hand to rattle and decided against it. I turned around and hung them up and turned back around and he was standing in front of me. I reached for my bow and realized he was about to smell me the way he was walking so I grabbed my muzzleloader.

Killed this 2yr ago on opening morning of muzzleloader and it was the 1st time I got to hunt my new farm. I'd say this was a mainly woodland buck but there was a few crop fields around. Buck field dressed 185lbs. and TWRA scored it 168⅞ gross not bad for West Tn. He had matching kickers on each G2, split G3 and worm hole on other G3 and had a decent drop tine! It's my biggest to date. The trail cam picture was just few minutes before I shot him. 2470.jpegIMG_20191109_072118271.jpgIMG_20200602_204110862.jpgIMG_20191110_122753833_HDR.jpg

wow that body is definitely impressive. Kind of makes his horns look small........NOT! Great deer

Mine in here every night and very much alive. I can only hope he lives till next yr to regrow both sides (although he will never be high scoring anyway)

Biggest TN buck I've taken. I have no idea what he weighed, but he's on the back of a Honda Rubicon 500 for size comparison. It was no easy task getting him loaded, almost comical.
I'm sure he was eating good in the west TN ag fields of corn and soybeans.

Yep that's a toad as well!

Killed this 8-pt last year during muzzleloader. Not sure what he weighed as I didn't have the scales but it was all 2 of us could do to get him on the 4-wheeler and I normally do it myself. In the pic of 2 bucks he's the one on the left and the other is a 10-pt. I can't age teeth but posted them here and the consensus was 5.5.
