Anyone ever had an issue with these on your turkey gun? This is my first year using one. I like the site, but the cap has come off a couple different times when shooting a 3" turkey load ( 12g) . Saw on some sites where guys used blue locktite to help out, and it seemed to hold for some. So I'm going to throw some on there and see if it helps. Just wondering if anyone else had that issue and if/how they were able to remedy it.

Wow I've never even heard of someone's flying off that had it tightened down. I've never had mine come of either gun I use them on in 5 years. I guess both of mine stay on cause I have hunted in the rain with them both a few times so they had a touch of lockRUST sprinkled on them lol.

I haven't had that problem but have heard sometimes certain batteries can cause a problem getting the cap on correctly and a Duracell solved some hunters issue. You may try that.

Never heard of this.
About 7 years with my FF3 on a Mossberg 835, shooting 3.5" turkey loads for turkey and coyote. A lot of brutal rounds fired.
Never had a problem, although I did lose the rubber lens cover once while walking in the woods. :)

I've put some blue locktite on it. Fingers crossed it will help it hold I had issues originally because the battery that comes with it was an improper fit as said above. Ended up cross threading it. Burris digested I go Duracell or energized for a better fit on the battery. They also sent me 3 new caps which was great!

I've shot 3 tss loads through the gun since then and the first two shots held fine. The last one it just flew off.
May be a situation where I've damaged the threads with trying to get that initial battery installed and may have to send it in. Hoping until after the season.
