And, Butch Jones just completely denied the accusation that is also contrary to former statements given by that player.
It is pretty obvious that the ambulance chasers are trying their case in public hoping for a settlement. Hopefully UT will fight this one to the end, because I don't think the plaintiffs have much of a case.

Nice work by ESPN by omitting the word "allegedly or "alleged" in the first draft of that story. They have since changed it after being called out on it.

We are only reading what the media is putting out there. Who really knows what the facts are. Have learned just because I read it in the paper or Internet doesn't mean it's true. I'm sure CBJ would deny if it's true or not. Coach Pearl did the same...
No matter how we slice it, not good for UT and it will drag on.

The media is not going to give this a great spin and other fans will do the same. Just part of the deal. It's going to be a long off season and the mods will be busy. Almost like two buck limits... :stir:

It works both ways... If it was any other program it would of been a field day. If the Gators were going through this, we wouldn't have seen so many members get ghost and they would be blowing up the Sports Forum. There's a real reason why you have been by yourself this past week.. :tu:

Hmm here are a few pics of Jones and Drae Bowles shortly after the TaxSlayer Bowl. For having been "ostercised" from the team by Butch for "being a traiter to the team", Butch took him to the TaxSlayer Bowl. Seems legit.
Bowles even went as far as also showing AJ Johnson some love with the rest of his team mates by throwing up the "45" hand signal.

Of course I wouldn't read to much into it. There are players on H.S., college, and NFL teams that don't like each other but they will celebrate with each other when they win...

So what? I'm supposed to bail also? Na.
The point is, if he was shunned from the team like this new revised lawsuit says, why did he even travel with the team to Jacksonville. I would think that since he had been " assaulted " and been called a traiter, he would have passed on that trip. No?

Jones said in the statement that the allegation "is absolutely false" and added that he "did all I could to assist the former student in question," former Vols wide receiver Drae Bowles.
"The assertion that I ever attempted to belittle or demean a young man for taking action to help another person is absolutely false," Jones said in the statement. "To the contrary, I did all I could to assist the former student in question. During the course of the judicial process, campus officials, as well as the young man's own words, will clearly establish that I have done nothing wrong. I will fight all of these false attacks on my character, and I know that once this process has been completed, my reputation will be affirmed."
Bill Ramsey, one of the lawyers representing UT, also issued a statement Wednesday night saying that "facts" as opposed to "allegations in a complaint" — some of which were detailed by The Tennessean earlier Wednesday — would settle the matter.
I can't believe a news organization ,TV or print, would spread false allegations about a coach or player.( Sarcasm inserted) GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! How about proving some of the allegations. There is a feeding frenzy going on. Gee ,this hasn't happened before. Who will it be next year? :tu:
